Obituary for Janet L. McClure

Janet Lillian (Denight) McClure, loving wife of the late Everett “Slats” McClure for 61 years, passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2018, one day shy of her 82nd birthday. She is survived by her daughter Susan Wernke (Glenn), daughter Rebecca Frondorf (Daniel), granddaughter Sarah Pollack (Joshua), grandson Kyle Wernke (Lauren), great grandson Oliver Pollack, several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends and loved ones. Janet enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, home décor, spending time with friends and family, and sharing stories from her life as the wife of a Cincinnati policeman. A longtime resident of Westwood, Janet was also active in St. Bonaventure Church for many years, and was a friend to many in the Westwood and South Fairmount communities. Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 27 from 1pm until time of blessing services at 2pm at the Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home, 3155 Harrison Ave. (Westwood).Donations are appreciated in lieu of flowers – Janet and Slats supported St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, heart and diabetes charities, animal rescue charities, and the Cincinnati Police Museum.
