Condolences

Condolence From: Pete McCaffrey
Condolence: Mark was my squadron mate in the 496 TFS (Hahn Air Base, Germany), brother in arms and friend. I was saddened to hear of Marks' passing, especially at such a young age. Mark and his family enriched our lives in countless ways...we shared many laughs & beers together in the Squadron Bar and around Europe on many deployments flying the world's greatest jet together...and I'm so grateful that Mark was a part of our lives. As Mark completes his journey "West", as we say in our business, he goes with the love and admiration of me and so many other fighter pilots who flew with him. And until we see each other again, RIP dear friend! "Abner"

Condolence: I’m so sorry to hear of Marks passing. I had the great pleasure to fly with him several years ago while on the B-737 at AirTran. On one trip in particular we found ourselves in downtown Seattle at a Mariners game and were able to watch Ken Griffey hit a home run against the Giants. What a fun afternoon! Mark had so many great stories about his family and his time in the Air Force. He had a level of humility not usually found in a person who had accomplished so much. Mark will be missed.
