Obituary for Richard Lewis Barnes

BARNES, Richard Lewis age 92 of Green Twp., Cincinnati, Ohio passed away November 4, 2016. He was born September 7, 1924 in CIncinnati, Ohio a son of the late Earl and Dorothy (Schweitzer) Barnes. He was retired as a sales representative from the CSX Transportation Corporation after more than 42 years of railroad service, and served with the US Army during WWII having been discharged in 1943 as a Staff Sergeant. He was married to his wife of 69 years, the former Marilyn Louraine Carrigan on June 7, 1947. Surviving are his three loving daughters Linda (Steve) Staat, Patricia (David) Schultze and Karen (Rick) Kurzhals. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother Earl Barnes. Visitation Tuesday from 9:30 A.M. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 2832 Rosebud Dr., burial with military honors to follow at St. Joseph Old Cemetery, West 8th and Seton.
